Port Blair, Jan 8: A delegation from Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its President Shri H.N. Arora accompanied by S/Shri G.Bhasker, General Secretary, A Mehrzad, joint Secretary. L. Moorthy, Treasurer and Anil Kr. Tiwari, Committee Member met the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration today to discuss about the exorbitant price of air tickets in both Port Blair Kolkata/ Chennai sectors. The price of air tickets has been causing great hardship to the general public specially to the patients who intend to go to mainland for treatment. 
 
This exorbitant price of air tickets as well as its non-availability is causing not only deep concern to the general public but also affecting the tourism industry as well as the economy of these islands. To find out some permanent solution to this problem the Chamber requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to convene a meeting under his Chairmanship in which the following persons may be requested to participate:- Secretary Civil Aviation- A&N Administration, General Manager (Eastern region)- Air India, General Manager- King Fisher Airlines, General Manager- Jetlite, President- Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
