Port Blair, Feb 8: The 15th ‘All India Competitive Examination for Admissions’ to 100% seats of Master’s Degree Programme at IARI, IVRI, CIFE, NDRI and 25% seat at all the State Agriculture Universities, Central Universities ( CAU, BHU AMU & Vishwa Bharati) and AAIDU in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agri. Engineering, Home Science, Social Sciences, Dairy, Fisheries, Veterinary & Allied sciences for the Academic Session 2008-2009 and award of ICAR’s Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) will be held on 18th April, 2010 at CARI, Garacharma at 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM. 

 

Eligibility: Candidates having passed their Bachelor’s degree(or appearing in final year examination during the year 2009), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agriculture Marketing Banking & Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Bio-technology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and Allied Sciences under 10+2+4 ( most seats ) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) are eligible to apply for the combined examination for JRF and Admission to Masters Degree programs as per norms of participating Universities. Candidates must have obtained at least OGPA 6.60/10.00 for general and UPS categories and 5.60/10.00 for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped categories. For admission in the subject of Vety. Sciences, candidates must have completed BVSc and A.H. before the date of registration in the admitting University 

 

The Central Agricultural Research Institute has been identified as one of the Centre for sale of ‘Application form’ with information bulletin. Interested candidates may obtain the same from the Office of the Director, CARI, Garachama by paying Rs. 500/- for General Category and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PH categories through DD drawn in favour of “Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR” payable at New ‘Delhi’ with details of of the applicant (Name & address on the back of the bank draft upto 16th Feburary, 2010. Cash payment will not be accepted.
