Port Blair, March 3: Swantantraveer Sawarkar Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (Sawarakar Marathi Literature Conference) will be held at Port Blair on 6th March 2010, informed the management committee head Mr. Nilesh Gaikwad. The profound scholar of literature of Vir Sawarakar, Dr. Harindra Shrivastav will inaugurate the function. 
 
A procession of great books of Vir Sawarakar will be taken out at 7.30 am and would mark the beginning of the conference. Mr. Vijay Kuwalekar will adore the books as well as an idol of Vir Sawarakar. The presence of the spokesperson Mr. Prakash Jawadekar, M. Vijay Kuwalekar, MP Mr. Bishnu Pad Ray, Mr. Jaykumar Nayar, Chairman, PBMC grace the occasion. Thereafter Mr. Nilesh gaikwad will confer the reins of function to Mr. Vijay Kuvalekar. The topic, “The modern India in the literature of Vir Sawarar” will be thoroughly discussed in a seminar, which will take place at 1.30 pm. The scholarly participation of Mr. Chandrakant Shahasane, Mr. Eknath Shee, Mr. Upadhey and Mr. Baba Parulekar will make the seminar lively. The famous vainatey Group will present cultural program on the life of Vir. Sawarkar at 5.00 pm. The evening will become memorable with the worship and salutation of an idol of this great personality in this cell of cellular jail. This conference is going to brainstorm the blazing thoughts of this great freedom fighter, Nilesh Gaikwad said.
 
Apart from the above Mr. Suryakant Pathak of Grahak Peth, Pune will be felicitated with the “Sahitya Ratna Award” in the same conference. All the preparation of this conference is in final stage. Mrs. Shahasane, Mr. Ganesh Vadavekar, Mr. Bhau Suradhar, Mr. Mohan Shedage, Mr. Upadhey, Mr. Apate are trying hard to make this conference successful along with Mr. M. Vinod and the members of Maharastra Mondal Andaman, Gaikwad informed.
