School Student & Driver Killed In Road Accident at Sippighat

Port Blair, March 4: A Class XI student of Rabindra Bangla Vidhyalaya (RBV) and the driver of a Tata Indica car were killed in a road mishap today at Sippighat, South Andaman. The accident took place at about 1.15 pm when four students of RBV were on their way home from school in a private car driven by one Vinod. As the car reached the blind turn in front of Bharat Sevashram a State Transport bus ran over the car killing the student Abijit Halder, S/o Subal Halder R/o Wandoor and the car driver.
While Abijit died on the spot, the driver Vinod succumbed to his injuries on the way to GB Pant Hospital at Port Blair.
