Inspector General KC Pande, TM Assumes The Command Of A&N Coast Guard Region |

Port Blair, March 3: Inspector General KC Pande, TM has taken over the helm of Coast Guard Region (A&N) from DIG KR Nautiyal, TM today who has been transferred to Coast Guard Headquarters, New Delhi. IG Pande was earlier posted at CGHQ as Deputy Director General (Operations and Coastal Security) ,a special post created after 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
A post graduate in Economics, IG Pande is a navigation & direction specialist . He is an alumni of defence services staff collage, Willington besides having M Phil in National Security and Strategy from the Prestigious National Defence Collage, Delhi. The officer has been decorated with Tatrakshak Medal and also has been awarded the Director General Coast Guard Commendation twice in his service career. He has commanded Coast Guard ship Samar, Vijaya, Priyadarshini , Jijabai and C-63. His previous important staff appointment includes Chief staff Officer(Operations) of both Coast Guard Region Andaman & Nicobar as well as Coast Guard Region West. The officer was CGA to Director General Coast Guard and Chief of Staff of Coast Guard Region East also.
