Port Blair, March 5: Students of IGNOU are required to submit their re-registration forms for their subsequent academic year irrespective of the fact whether they have appeared in the examination or not or whether they have passed or not in the courses they are registered in the current academic session. These provisions have been laid down in the Programme Guides of different academic programmes.

All the students of IGNOU registered for Bachelors & Masters Degree Programme in July-2008, July-2009 or earlier are advised that they should fill in their re-registration forms for second year and third year for the session starting July 2010. The last date for submission of the forms is 31st March, 2010 without any late fees.

The re-registration form is available in the Programme Guides and the students registered in for July 2009 session or earlier sessions may approach the Regional Centre for registration for the next year without waiting for any communication from the University for Course Registration and payment of fees. More than 3000 students have been dispatched the re-registration forms in the islands for various academic programmes and in case a student fails to submit the course registration form within the due date, he/she will not be allowed to pursue studies further. In addition to these about 1600 left out students (who could not re-register earlier) have also been sent reminder letters. All the students should fill up the form and send it to the IGNOU Regional Centre, Port Blair alongwith the requisite programme fee in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at Port Blair latest by 31st March, 2010. The students should pay their fees as per the new fee structure of University for which details are available in IGNOU Regional Centre, Port Blair or University’s website www.ignou.ac.in. The students are advised to avoid last minute rush in submitting their application forms. This would help centre to process their registration and send the study materials to students in time. Course registration form received after due date or without the prescribed programme fees will be summarily be rejected.
