Port Blair, May 6: Shri R Mohan, the State President and Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands have congratulated Kumari Shalia Shah, Daughter of Dr. Wajid Ali Shah and Dr Anita Shah for clearing IAS examination and becoming the first girl from this island to become an IAS and established the women power. The Party hopes that our other local youth can also achieve such success if they just desire so, as they are no dearth of talents in the islands.

Port Blair, May 6: Dr. Mrs. Shalia Shah, W/o Shri Purohit Mohan Lal and D/o Dr. Wajid Ali Shah & Dr. Anita Shah has created a history by becoming the first lady from the islands to clear IAS. She is the second from the islands to have achieved this, first being Shri Bikram Dev Dutt who cleared IAS way back in 1986.

Andaman Chronicle congratulates Dr. Shalia Shah, her husband Purohit Mohan Lal and the proud parents of Shalia for supporting her in bringing laurels to the islands.
